Explore. Exchange. Experience
The Japan Bound Experience by GPI US is a cultural immersion experience designed to expand the minds of American high school students by providing them with the opportunity to journey to Japan with one of our experienced mentors. Once you've read about a culture and had the opportunity to meet people from that culture, the next step is going there. There are so many intangibles that can't be conveyed with words or book and that's why we've tailored this trip to give our students ample opportunity to experience a brand new culture.
Summer travel for those looking for something more meaningful.
Japan Bound is about more than just travel. Through immersive site visits, cultural activities, and inspiring guest speakers, our programs foster independent thinking, self-reflection, and a better understanding of today’s global world. Participants will have ample opportunity to challenge themselves and break out of their comfort zones.
Students will travel across the country visiting a variety of sites in Tokyo and Hokkaido. Then, for the latter half of the trip, students will have the opportunity to live like a local in Muroran, experiencing the unique geography and rich culture it has to offer. The itinerary for each location is specifically designed by our staff to connect you with the local communities and highlight what makes each destination special.
